The Canow lock is an inland lock in the Müritz-Havel waterway. The responsibility lies with the Canow outlying district of the Eberswalde Waterways and Shipping Authority. It is located between Lake Labussee and Lake Canow.
The construction of the first Canow lock took place in the mid-1830s. In the years 1831 to 1837, the Strasen, Canow, Diemitz and Bolt locks were used to connect the waterway between the Havel in the Ellbogensee and the Müritz at the Bolter Mühle. The Canow lock makes it possible to overcome the different water level between Lake Labussee and Lake Canow. The average fall height is 1.30 meters. The lock chamber can be used at 41.60 m long and 5.30 m wide and is closed with miter gates.
