Length: 63 kilometersTour description:The circular route starts at Chorin train station and goes to Althüttendorf on Grimnitzsee. You pass by the hiking church and the three Fates in the village center and then reach the nature observation point with a viewing platform where you are rewarded with a magnificent view over the lake. The journey continues towards Neugrimnitz. Soon you will reach the impressive UNESCO World Natural Heritage site Buchenwald Grumsin, a nature reserve with some inclines, and you will leave the Barnim region towards Uckermark. You will pass through Altkünkendorf, whose octagonal tower is visible from afar. In addition to the village church of Altkünkendorf, an information point with a small exhibition about the diversity of Buchenwald Grumsin informs visitors. Along a chestnut avenue, designated as an old natural monument, you will soon reach Wolletz and pass by the lake of the same name. In Wolletz, you will see the former hunting lodge, which belonged to Erich Mielkes hunting residence in 1960 and now houses a specialized clinic. The tour then continues towards Blumberger Mühle and crosses the River Welse. The detour to the NABU Adventure Centre Blumberger Mühle and/or Gut Kerkow with its farm shop is definitely worth it. Next, you will reach the charming town of Angermünde with its protected historic old town. Small narrow streets, lovingly restored half-timbered houses, and romantic courtyards tell stories of long-gone times with impressive historical buildings like the Marienkirche or the Franciscan monastery. Here, you should definitely plan a stop to enjoy the atmosphere before continuing towards Parsteiner See via Herzsprung to Parstein. On the gently hilly route, you can enjoy the view over the vast, beautiful area. Between Parstein and Brodowin, you have a wonderful view from Rummelsberg over the ice-age-formed landscape. The last stage then leads back to Chorin.
