Bergischer Panorama Trail

The Bergische Panorama Trail is located in one of the most diverse low mountain landscapes in Germany, only about 40 kilometers away from the metropolis of Cologne. It leads in a large loop over a length of 244 kilometers in 12 stages through the Bergisches Land Nature Park. Along the way, you will be accompanied by impressive views into the vast, open cultural landscape. The circular route leads through the valleys of the Agger, Wupper, and other small streams, through impressive mixed forests, past lush meadows, and many reservoirs - and especially often over the typical ridges with their panoramic views for the region.

On the way, you can not only enjoy the view, but also experience a lot: The Bergisches Open-Air Museum, various stalactite caves, the monkey and bird park, Homburg Castle, the treetop path at Panarbora, as well as other interesting traces of cultural history make the past, culture, fauna, and flora tangible. Take a break during your hike and visit a museum, a monument, or a church along the way. It's worth it!
