Vasco da Gama traveled to India in 1499. Of course, there were the famous discoveries of the Caribbean and South America by Columbus during his trips in 1492-93, 1493-94, 1498, 1502-04. And there were the visits to the Caribbean and South America by Vespucci in 1499 and 1501-02.
