This hike begins and ends at the Michelau train station. In Luxembourg, the ride by train and bus is free, and Michelau is easy to reach. A train stops in the village at least hourly.
This time, we won't walk from station to station, but will take a tour in the region between Michelau, Wellsheid, and Bouscheid. We pass directly beside the famous Bourscheid Castle.
The hike starts off quite difficult: We leave the wooded valley of the Sauer and have to climb up to Wellsheid to enjoy the wide panorama of the high plateau for a while. After Bourscheid, we go back down into the valley, through the forest, and over wide paths.
Gastronomy is impossible to find in these small villages.
