This striking building on the corner with the Meerlaan was built in 1685 as a farmhouse annex extension De Jonge Prins. This name refers to king-stadtholder William III (1650-1702). After the establishment of the Batavian Republic in 1795, the 'Orange name' could not be maintained and lodger Jan Groenewegen gave the building the name het Blesse Paard. The original inn consisted of the inn part in the front house (the current transverse house) and the farm house in the building part behind it (perpendicular to the front house) and further two haystacks, two stables and a pumping and bouncing track.
The main shape of the transverse house, which consists of two storeys and a hipped roof, is best preserved.
