Around Vasse

What a beautiful and varied cycling route through and along all the beauty that Twente has to offer, an absolute recommendation!
The route goes through the Springendal, the Valley of the Mosbeek, right along the border with Germany through the meadow bird area of Ottershagen. Along Tilligte and through Groot Agelo, past the Vasserheide you ride to Tubbergen. Over the Schultenwolde estate with 't Hondeven, you pass by Hazelbekke and over the Braamberg and Tutenberg, you ride back to the watermill of Bels. Along the way, you will pass several chapels, field crosses, through woods, past rolling meadows, and heather.
The route goes over quiet asphalted country lanes, gravel paths, concrete bike paths, and here and there sandy paths. We did the route on a gravel bike, but it is suitable for all types of bikes (except racing bikes).

More than enough catering and rest spots along the way, the Troubadour at Tibsweg just outside Tubbergen is about halfway.
We started at the watermill of Bels (Bergweg in Mander), which gives you a small climb right at the beginning and at the end, but you can of course start the route anywhere.
