Herperduin
The nature reserve Herperduin covers approximately 400 hectares. It used to be a heath, drifting sand, and agricultural area, but since the end of the 19th century, it has been planted with Scots pine to stabilize the drifting sand and provide timber.
In this area, you will find beautiful forests, remnants of drifting sand, and several ponds, namely Klompven and Groot Ganzenven. It's a wonderful place for hiking. Spot the Exmoor pony, Tauros, and badger in the wild. This beautiful natural gem is not to be missed!
After 15 km of fantastic hiking through the forests, De Boshut is hidden away in the midst of the Maashorst nature reserve. Enjoy a delicious snack and drink in the sunshine on the terrace, or when it's colder, by the fireplace inside De Boshut. Relax, enjoy, and recharge your spirits in the heart of Maashorst.
