Miradouro Vale do Pinhão - Pinhao

The Miradouro Vale do Pinhão is an enchanting viewpoint in the Douro Valley, near the village of Pinhão.

From this location you have a panoramic view of the vineyard-covered hills and the meandering Douro River, a landscape that comes to life with vibrant colours especially during the harvest period. Typical here are the terraced vineyards.

Nearby is the Miradouro da Filoxera. Its name refers to the phylloxera epidemic that devastated European viticulture in the 19th century. Provesende played an important role in combating this plague. In the future, there is even a Museu da Filoxera planned in the village, in honour of this history.
