Briançon [bʁijɑ̃sɔ̃] er en fransk kommune beliggende i departementet Hautes-Alpes i regionen Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur og historisk tilknyttet Dauphiné. Det er hovedbyen i en lille agglomeration af seks kommuner, den urbane enhed Briançon. Området, som Briançon er hovedby i, kaldes Briançonnais; det dækker den nordlige del af departementet Hautes-Alpes.
Briançon betragtes som den højeste by i Frankrig.
