This is a rather hard walk following the ridge down and up again respectively on the northern and southern side of the Barranco de Janey. On both ridges the paths, consisting of car tracks, go steeply up and down several small mountain tops on terrain covered with loose rocky materials, hence, not easy on the feet. However, the views and desolate character of the place make it worth the trip. There are splendid views to the north on the northern half of Fuerteventura as far as Lanzarote. and to the south on the barren and rough slopes of Barranco de Peña. On the walk you will see goats, and, there are fences to be crossed. Make sure to close the gates when you have passed them.
