St. Catherine's Church

The Sint-Katharinakerk is a fixed value on the horizon in Hoogstraten. For centuries she determined the sociocultural life of the Hoogstratenaar.
Its history is largely the history of Hoogstraten. When you walk around the church, you will see the lords, counts and dukes of Hoogstraten passing by in the beautiful stained glass windows and the unique funerary heritage.
The Sint-Katharinakerk is a beautiful example of Brabant Gothic, more specifically the Kempen brick Gothic. Hoogstraten thus has a church that can compete with churches such as the Cathedral of Our Lady in Antwerp and the St. Rumbold's Cathedral in Mechelen.
