The Fange de Pansîre is part of the complex of the Fens Spadoises (Spa) which consists of peat bogs and moors scattered between Sart-lez-Spa and Remouchamps .
It is a clearing of about ten hectares, surrounded by spruce forests , on the upper slopes of the valley of the Amblève, at an altitude of about 550 m .
From a historical point of view, it is also worth pointing out the presence of traces of an earlier agropastoral practice, the tilling of soil after burning, in the fragments of "ribbed heather" that remain here and there. Peat was also exploited in some places.
Due to the presence of peat bogs, the walking paths in/around the area are equipped with bridges.
