We walk here in the open fields under the flight route of the planes that reduce altitude to land a few seconds later on Zavemtem. We head towards nature reserve Het Torfbroek which consists of ponds and wet grasslands with special plants and is part of 'De Groen Vallei' an oasis of peace between the cities of Leuven, Brussels and Mechelen. Parking is possible around the church of Erps Kwerps, Peperstraat (GPS house no. 36, Bar César). Erps-Kwerps historically consists of two separate cores: Erps and Kwerps and each has its own church and center.
