Blossom walk

This beautiful bike ride was done on 21/4/22. Car parked at Chateau de la Motte with a lovely outdoor terrace and from there we start biking but first a coffee.

From Chateau de la Motte, bike via Mettekoven to junction 161, this goes up and down a bit… then on to 151 and towards 155 but after 7.4 km you must go left, do not ride all the way to 155. Once you turn left, you must take the first sharp path to the left and then back to the right, now you are at the viewing church. From there you may proceed down (through the grass) to the main road and turn left, then at the roundabout turn right, up quite steeply, now you’re back on the junction network and bike towards junction 154(visit Borgloon?). Then past 152-153 after 153 you pass a very beautiful orchard and soon you will bike past a castle. Then continue to 148-149 then towards 173 to Ulbeek with a lovely indoor terrace “de Bottelarij.” Also, take a look at that church on the square. Now it's best to return to 149 to then bike towards 171. At the Bilterweg you need to go left towards Hoepertingen and follow 170 from there to 169 (this is a very beautiful piece) where the floating church is located. Further towards 161 and you will arrive in Helshoven (a very nice spot). Before you reach this village, there is also a nice pop-up bar on the left (definitely worth it). In this village, there is a nice restaurant (’t Huis Zonder Naam). At the intersection, turn right and then after 700m the road to the left and you will be back at Chateau de la Motte.
