You can start here with a visit to Paddenbroek Rural Center at the foot of the Kesterheide. Further on, the "white spheres" certainly catch the eye, one of NATO's largest communication centers.
Cycling through the Zuunbeek Valley - provided there is some climbing now and then - takes you past some lesser-known heritage gems such as the Hoeve Bree-Eik, Kapel ter Linden and Saffelberg Castle. Local beers, for example from brewery Sako or Geuze-stekerij De Cam, can be tasted en route.
This route passes through the municipalities of Pajottegem, Halle and Pepingen.
