When the wood hyacinths bloom, the Hallerbos is dotted with a beautiful carpet of blue flowers. This forest is a remnant of the Coal Forest, a large forest area that stretched from the Zenne to the Meuse. The hike passes giant giant sequoias, these large conifers are said to be the largest trees in the Hallerbos.
This is a walk on a virtual hiking network, the nodes are not signposted on the property. Follow the wooden posts with blue markings. This hike is offered by the Agency for Nature and Forest and Tourism Flemish Brabant.
