The forest and heathland area between the station of As and the geological wall is very varied. In the middle lies a heath remnant, the favored habitat of the viviparous lizard.
The geological wall, located in a former quarry, gives you a glimpse into the geological history of the Hoge Kempen. Through a stair tower of 8.5 meters high, you can view the wall at various levels. At the top, you stand at the original level, before there was a quarry.
