From Hof den Tuitelaar in Meldert, we set off for a beautiful nature walk through two gems of the Faluintjes region: the open Faluintjes and the mysterious Kravaalbos. Soon, we leave the village behind and walk through wet grasslands, meadows, and quiet marshes where water and nature shape the landscape. The Faluintjes are known for their great biodiversity and are an important habitat for meadow birds and typical plants of wet soils.

We then venture into the Kravaalbos, an ancient forest with stately beeches, oaks, and winding woodland paths. This forest was formerly known for sand and clay extraction and today breathes tranquility and history. Expect a beautiful mix of shaded forest paths and open spaces.

Since the paths in these water-rich areas can sometimes be muddy, waterproof hiking shoes are definitely recommended. A varied and engaging walk where nature, heritage, and silence go hand in hand. 🌿🥾
