BETWEEN TEUTONS AND TRAPPISTS
The northern Limburg village of Achel has 5,500 inhabitants and lies just a stone's throw from the Dutch border. A group of residents, many of whom are members of the Rural Guild, came together. With the help of volunteers and staff from VVV Hamont-Achel, we connected the most delightful spots in our village. We proudly present to you our 'Discover the village' route! With this map, we guide you through Achel. You will walk through both the village center and the greenery, learning a lot about the rich history of our rural border village.
