Bos t' Ename was awarded the Flemish Monument Prize in 2002, a first but a deserved prize for this beautiful forest in a protected landscape.

Parking is possible at 'Enameplein' and a little further at the 'Lijnwaadmarkt'. The route can be followed via signs with yellow circles. In Volkegem you first take the left side to walk (the signs can be seen on a bank with information board). It is a loop walk through Volkegembos, if you do not see a yellow circle follow the green sign. Back at the bank follow right but immediately turn left (on the corner of the street there is a sign 'Volkegempad' on the left) and 20 meters further you will see the arrows. When you get back on the road, the 'Volkegemberg' you go down on the left but you have to look out for a wegel on the right between the houses. The pole with signs is not visible from the street because it is just around the corner from a house in the wegel itself.

Other routes to follow there : 'Mariette Tielemanspad' is 4.5 km to follow red square; 'Heritage path' is 6.8 km to follow blue rectangle; 'Volkegempad' can be followed for 4.3 km green window (here starts at Volkegemberg)
