AzureGet some fresh air on the Ter Doestwandeling in and around Lissewege. Departure in the extremely picturesque and very romantic Lissewege. Be sure to walk into the retro candy store De Soete Paepe. Then you walk to the Boudewijn Canal (the connection between Bruges and Zeebrugge). Continue along the banks of this canal to the south. After a while you return to Lissewege. This will take you to the historic site of Ter Doest, a beautiful nature reserve with reeds, salty ditches and lots of grassland: great for birdwatchers! Via the Lisseweegs Vaartje you will then return to the feisty Lissewege. All in all an easy, loop-shaped family walk of 6.3 km.
