Between Temse and Kruibeke, the Scheldt only increases in grandeur. This is certainly the case at Rupelmonde, where both the Rupel and the Zeekanaal to Brussels flow into the river. The floodplains along this route are therefore impressive, with the Polders of Kruibeke as one of the crown jewels.
