This tour goes through the Vulkan Eifel and a part of Luxembourg.
The tour starts close to the Motorhotels Am Vulkanberg and Am Ceresplatz centrally in Manderscheid. We drive via Meerfelder Maar to Ralingen and then follow the Sauer or De Sûre upstream and cross at Dillingen. This is also the border between Germany and Luxembourg. At Tintesmühle we cross the border to Germany again via the Our. These two rivers, De Sûre and Die Our, are the central rivers in Luxembourg. After the necessary hairpin bends we arrive back in Manderscheid via Gerolstein.
In the larger towns in Luxembourg such as Echternach, Dillingen, Diekirch and Clerveaux, there are plenty of food and beverage outlets with terraces.
