Chanac-les-Mines

Chanac-les-Mines is a French commune located in the Corrèze department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Its inhabitants are called Chanacois and Chanacoises. The climate that characterizes the commune was classified, in 2010, as an "altered oceanic climate," according to the typology of climates in France, which then included eight main types of climates in the metropolitan area. In 2020, the commune remains in the same type of climate in the classification established by Météo-France, which now recognizes only five major types of climates in the metropolitan area in its initial approach. It is a transition zone between oceanic climate, mountain climate, and semi-continental climate. The temperature differences between winter and summer increase with distance from the sea. The rainfall is lower than that at the seaside, except near mountainous areas.
