As part of the MFEST festival: Marionnettes d'Enfer, Festival International des Arts de la Marionnette
On stage, an artist works on the creation of a show accompanied by the spirit of the legendary Édith Piaf. Piaf agrees to star in the production on condition that she is helped to rediscover her greatest love. The show is conceived as a one-woman-show, with puppets, object theater and singing, and the omnipresent music will support the piece both literally and figuratively.
In Édith & moi, a singer is muted, without explanation. An unspoken secret burns within her. Édith Piaf, fiery and determined, tries to drag her out of bed and bring her back to life. This unlikely duo form a partnership of solidarity and tenderness, embarking together on a journey full of grandeur and vulnerability, sorrow and victory, competition and compassion.
