Riserva Naturale Orientata dello Zingaro - Scopello - San Vito Lo Capo

The emerald green of the sea and the dazzling white of the pebbly beaches, the clumps of dwarf palms and rosemary bushes, the carob trees and ancient olive trees, the acanthus-lined paths that climb to the highest peaks, the caves that suddenly open on the cliffs where eagles and hawks nesting... the Zingaro nature reserve is a unique experience .

Nothing is known about why this area is called "gypsy", in fact there is no news about nomads who lived in these areas from the historical sources, while the presence of a Lombard colony in the XIII century is indicated.
