Villa Comunale "Ignazio Scaturro" - Sciacca

The municipal villa Ignazio Scaturro of Sciacca represents an important part of the city's historical and botanical heritage .

In 2018, the civic project 'Ho fatto un sogno' (I had a dream) was launched, the brainchild of a group of active citizens who are particularly fond of the site, with the aim of restoring, refurbishing and giving back to the main users: children, as an open-air play area.

In the past, the place had a prestigious place in the social context and in a community that liked to gather in the villa, in the garden where the most important events took place.

The park has a geometric layout - a central circle with four "rays" diverging from it. One of the beams rests on a platform overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The draecena is one of the most beautiful plants that adorns the forgotten municipal villa. The park also contains a bust of the poet "Ignazio Russo". And of course you can't ignore the pond with water birds.
