Atelier Anja Ysermans

The spatial work of Anja Ysermans often consists of several materials. Material, which has already had a life, is placed in a new context and made into assembly. In addition to these assemblages, Anja Ysermans also makes bronze sculptures, steel plastics and clay sculptures.
In the flat plane, monotype, egg tempera, collage, acrylic are used, among others. These are sometimes combined into mixed media work. Or they can be further developed into digital work with the help of a smartphone or computer. And then printed on watercolor paper, canvas, aluminum or plexiglass.
The subjects in Anja Ysermans' work are often naturalistic. Such as the human figure, heads and house shapes. These forms are abstracted or deformed. Sometimes the figuration disappears and the work is completely abstract.
