With the unveiling of a monumental Boerentoren poem, Tom Lanoye made himself heard as the first city poet of Antwerp. In the twenty years that followed, numerous city poems appeared in the urban landscape. From a single word to a flow of 6,300 letters and punctuation marks: city poets have sung and continue to sing about our city in all sizes and forms. Former city poet Maud Vanhauwaert takes us on a journey along notable traces of twenty years of city poetry.
