The Roland Column, also referred to as the Pillory Column, stands on the east side of the St. Martins Church at the main square in Drosendorf, a district of the Lower Austrian town of Drosendorf-Zissersdorf in the district of Horn.
The two-tiered column, at around 7 meters tall, is the tallest Roland Column in the German-speaking area. The lower part is a pillory in the form of an octagonal column and was erected in the early to mid-16th century. On top of it sits a square column crowned by a Roland statue, a symbol of city rights, which dates back to 1616. In 1998/99, a comprehensive restoration of the column took place, during which, among other things, the missing parts of the Roland figure were supplemented.
