From the starting sign at the village square of Slyps, we take the Waterstraat which leads us directly to the Ledegemstraat in Dadizele. Via the Ledegemstraat, we reach the tourist heart of the pilgrimage site. Our route takes us along the Remi Dewittestraat at the height of Domain 't Torreke. Be sure to continue all the way to the Place where the basilica is more than worth a visit!

In the Remi Dewittestraat, we drive past Mariënstede park. At the roundabout of 't Putje, we go straight on and climb the Bakkerhoek up to the Ieperstraat. We then continue left and cross the N32 (DANGEROUS!!!) at the height of Kezelberg. Just past the old railway line, we turn left onto Ter Kommerenweg and continue via Kasteelstraat to arrive at the church of Ledegem. There you will also find the starting sign for the Ledegem – Rollegem-Kapelle loop. Via Stationsstraat, Papestraat, and Fabriekslaan, we leave Ledegem. We cross the Provinciebaan (N32) again to reach the starting point through Slypsstraat and Slypsmolenweg.

The Midwest Skating Network spreads out over the municipalities of Ardooie, Hooglede, Ingelmunster, Izegem, Ledegem, Lichtervelde, Meulebeke, Moorslede, Oostrozebeke, Pittem, Roeselare, Ruiselede, Staden, Tielt, Wielsbeke, and Wingene with a total distance of approximately 450km. You can skate for kilometers through a varied rural and urban landscape. In addition to the beautiful views, there are also nice resting spots. You will discover the strengths of the 16 municipalities in three tourist regions: the Leie region, the Bruges countryside, and the Westhoek. Both recreational and advanced skaters will find their enjoyment here. Runners, walkers, cyclists, ... can also enjoy this unique network within the Midwest region!
