The long red walking route starts at De Bosuil and takes you through a varied landscape of pine forests, agricultural land, and along the canal. Just past the 'Kettingbrug' over the canal, forest ranger Jan Verbakel has created an arboretum, specially designed for walkers to enjoy a diverse forest walk. This arboretum also offers fun experiential elements for children.
During your walk, you follow the Bocholt-Herentals canal, a waterway with a rich history that dates back to the time of Napoleon and Emperor Charles. Today, the canal is a popular spot for recreation.
In the heart of Sint-Huibrechts-Lille, you can admire the characteristic Teutenhuizen. A perfect mix of nature, history, and culture awaits you!
