In Wurfeld, the Bosbeek forms the natural boundary between two contrasting landscapes. In the Tösch, you are surprised by a piece of wilderness on a small scale in a marshy environment with wet woodlands, ponds, thickets, and scrub. On the northern side of the winding Bosbeek lies the area of Langeren. Here, fields and meadows primarily define the view. You will find a wealth of small landscape elements such as hedgerows and tree edges that are over 100 years old. There are still numerous watermills present on this creek, such as the Klaaskensmolen in Neeroeteren, the last working saw watermill in Flanders, and the Wurfeldermolen in Wurfeld.
