Gadmerwasser

The Gadmerwasser is a 17.6 kilometer long right tributary of the Aare in the Swiss canton of Bern. It drains the Gadmertal and its side valleys in the Bernese Oberland, an area of 168.85 square kilometers.
The Gadmerwasser originates on the northern slope of the Giglistock and mostly flows southwest through the wooded Gadmertal. The river takes in important tributaries early on, including the Giglibach, the 5.8 km long Steinwasser originating from the Steingletscher, and the Wendenwasser originating from the Wendengletscher. It now passes the village of Gadmen, flows through the compensation basin Fuhren, and takes in the Triftwasser from the left at Milistalden, shortly followed by the main tributary Gentalwasser from the Gental. 3.6 river kilometers later, the Gadmerwasser flows into the Aare from the right at Innertkirchen.
