Alsenz Cycle Path

The Alsenz Cycle Path is a 49-kilometer-long river cycling route with some short ascents as well as a longer climb. It leads from the source of the Alsenz in Enkenbach-Alsenborn in the Palatinate Forest to the Nahe Valley, where the Alsenz flows into the Nahe at Bad Münster am Stein. It bypasses the 686.5 m high Donnersberg in a wide arc. It runs through the open hilly countryside over fertile land and past vineyards, always close to the Alsenz river. The entire route is uniformly marked with the cycling path logo and is easily accessible in both directions. For nature conservation reasons, some sections are not paved, so it is not suitable for racing bikes or inline skaters.
