Levedagsen is a district of the village of Salzhemmendorf and lies in an exposed location on the southern slope of the Thüster Berg in the state of Lower Saxony. The Eggersen domain also belongs to the district of Levedagsen. In earlier times, there was a castle here on an island surrounded by the Saale.
The first mention of Levedagsen was around the year 1200. More details about the district are known from 1680 onwards. This year, on October 28, a school in Levedagsen was approved by the church authorities. The first school with a schoolmaster's apartment was built in 1724.
On 1 November 1846, the new building of the Evangelical Lutheran chapel "St. Jacobus" in Levedagsen was inaugurated.
The station building at Levedagsen station for the Voldagsen-Duingen-Delligsen light railway dates from 1897, and in 1967 the station building was acquired by the municipality of Levedagsen and was used to accommodate the homeless. In the course of the expansion of the state road and the construction of the new bridge at the station, the house had to be demolished in 1977.
Due to the increasing number of pupils, a larger school building had to be built in 1903, which was used until the closure of the school on 31 July 1970.
The retaining wall in the village dates back to 1934, and in the same year the local volunteer fire brigade Levedagsen was founded.
Three years later, Levedagsen won 1st place in the village beautification competition of the Hameln-Pyrmont district.
