Walk to the Hanna Bieber Böhm monument.

Hanna Bieber-Böhm (1851 - 1910) is one of the most significant womens rights activists in Germany, who particularly advocated for gender equality and womens employment, for the protection of children and youth, as well as for the improvement of the social conditions of young women. Few people know that Hanna Bieber-Böhm left her mark in Neuzelle. In 1902, she bought a residential building on Priorsberg for the Youth Protection Association, which used to serve as a winemakers house during the time of the monastery and is now used as a boarding school for students of the Rahnschulen. She established a youth convalescent home for pale, weak girls, which was also open to mothers with children and older women. The establishment of a household and gardening school enabled women to have a better start in an independent professional life upon their return to Berlin.In her honor and in recognition of her tireless work, a memorial stone was erected in a small forest on Priorsberg, which has been restored in recent years.
