Bike path for connoisseurs - total distance 115 km

With the cycle path for connoisseurs, you can enjoyably get going. Those of you who are particularly sporty can tackle the total distance of 115 kilometers as a day trip. If you prefer a more leisurely experience, you can opt for one of the five suggested circular routes, each starting in the cities of Borgholzhausen, Halle (Westf.), Versmold, Werther (Westf.), and Steinhagen.

The routes are suitable for every fitness level, ranging from 20 to 40 kilometers in length. They can be easily cycled with an e-bike or pure muscle power, passing by castles, churches, and half-timbered buildings in historic town centers. Attractive picturesque routes guide you through the Patthorster and Tatenhauser forests and through nature reserves such as the Salzenteichsheide or along the wet meadows in Hörste.

On the circular routes to the south, you mainly cycle on flat paths. While on the routes to the north, it is consistently more hilly, requiring a bit more endurance. At the ridge of the Teutoburg Forest, you will even encounter some small hilly challenges at certain points.
