Description

The hike starts in Reinsdorf. The evangelical church of the village is a former monastery church of a Benedictine monastery, it contains relics of a three-aisled basilica with transept and choir.
Below vineyards, through fields and orchards, you will discover one of the famous vineyards of the region – the Karsdorf Hohe Gräte.
On the mountain ridge was one of the fortresses of the Unstrut valley. The still visible remains of the ramparts above the vineyard served as the namesake for this historic vineyard location, as they outline themselves like the bones of a fish against the horizon.
On the "Steigarer Plateau" you have a front-row view – not only of the impressive ICE railway line.
