The Svansør route starts from the parking lot on Bjørnevej and is 6.9 km long. The route consists of both paths through coniferous forests in Skive Plantage and forest roads that pass several properties. The route goes down to Svansø-Fly Plantage. From here, it runs along Fly Hede back towards Skive along a large sheep fen that covers ancient fields from the Iron Age. These are fields that have been untouched for over 1500 years. The traces of prehistory are well preserved here. At a couple of places, the hiking route crosses one of Denmark's best sulky tracks, where you almost daily encounter trotting horses and their riders on training rides through the plantation.
