Resting point Saxon farm 't Schippertie

A Resting Point offers the possibility of a short stop with coffee, tea or lemonade with some sweets, with residents in the outskirts of Salland. The Resting Points are clearly marked by means of a Resting Point sign and opened when the sign is actually 'open' on it.

't Schippertie is a Saxon farm from around 1800. The name 't Schippertie arose because a certain Mr. Reefman sold the farm in 1869 to the Hessem peat skipper Regenerus van Veen.
It was bought by us in 1993 and we are working on making this house and yard radiate the atmosphere of the past as much as possible.
We strive to live in harmony with nature. Many experience this place as an 'oasis of peace'.
We have the impression that this house and yard evokes many memories of earlier times in visitors. The Lourdes grotto, our antiquities room, the authentic well, a baffle oven, homemade drinks, the biological water purification plant, the cellar; You will be surprised when you take a tour of our site. 't Schippertie has become a place that makes you quiet and thought-provoking.
We would like to welcome you to the characteristic Schippertie. Your visit will be accompanied by coffee/tea and a snack. We do ask for a small fee of 4.00 p.p. for this.
