AzureWelcome to beautiful South Limburg and especially to the municipality of Echt-Susteren. This walking route of more than 5 kilometers leads through Susteren and the immediate vicinity. You can start at the Salvatorplein in Susteren and the P&R parking lot at the NS Station in Susteren.
The route leads past cultural sights, such as the Romanesque Amelbergabasilica and sculpture garden Suestra with works by modern Limburg artists. But also through the quiet nature reserve 't Hout. In addition, the route takes the hiker to the westernmost tip of Germany, the Westzipfel.
The detour is intrigued in the button running system and indicated by information boards. Follow nodes 13-43-47-90-79-76-75-13. You can also download a separate route description (under the heading 'From the author').
