Car: starts at parking lot* t.o. Ludenlaan 1, 3941 CN Doorn, municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug, The Netherlands. Free parking.

Train: Maarn railway station, the Netherlands (with local train from Utrecht).

By road bike over the 9 most challenging cols in the wooded Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park (freely accessible). During this beautiful route you will climb no less than 333 altimeters. 45 years ago, the local touring club conquered these calf biters for the first time in the order below.

You will cycle successively over the Zonheuvel, Amerongse Berg, Elsterberg, Grafheuvel, Grebbeberg, Koerheuvel, Leersumse Berg and finally the Hoogstraat and the Ruiterberg in the Kaapse Bossen. Only the climbs of these calf biters are described under Sights.

* Restaurants and cafes are located 750 metres from the car park in the centre of Doorn.
