Jalón [nota 1] es un municipio de la Comunidad Valenciana, España. Situado en el noreste de la provincia de Alicante, en la comarca de la Marina Alta. Jalón pertenece, junto con los municipios de Alcalalí y Llíber, a la subcomarca de Aixa, al sur de la comarca. Cuenta con 2636 habitantes .
El escudo heráldico que representa al municipio fue aprobado oficialmente en 1993 con el siguiente blasonamiento:
