The cycle route 'Exploring in Laakdal' takes cyclists on a tour of some of Laakdal's most beautiful spots. At the beginning, deviate from the junction route and follow the road towards junction 51. You then pass the Old Steam Sawmill (Heistraat), a unique site full of industrial history. Via the edge of forest areas Gerhagen and Helschot, you arrive at nature reserve Trichelbroek after node 89. From the bird hide you have a beautiful view of the area. Shortly afterwards, you cycle past the St. Bavo Chapel.
