AzureNature walk in the spring in search of birds and more specifically water birds in this large nature reserve, the Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen, on the outskirts of Ghent. The walk visits the two bird watching huts in the area. The most remote birdwatching hut has a beautiful view of the Cormorant Colony where there is continuous activity with the young in the spring. Along the reeds you can often hear the Cetti's Singer and sometimes you get to see him.
This walk follows the BOURGOYENPAD marked with BLUE 5.5 km - 2.5 hours.
Accessible by public transport: bus direction Mariakerke, get off at 'Jutestraat'.
