In 2013, the tourist television program "Vlaanderen Vakantieland" went in search of the most beautiful walk in Flanders. This walk in the Hageland hills was one of the nominees. Walk through the rolling landscape of the Hageland. The Hagelandse Heuvels are located in the heart of the region, between Leuven and Aarschot. Walk through beautiful hollow roads, enjoy the views or breathe in the fresh air among the fruit trees. In the Troostembergbos you can relax in the beautiful beech trees. In the restored Gempemolen you can enjoy a hearty bite or a nice drink. The walk starts at the Castle of Horst (Horststraat 28, 3220 Sint-Pieters-Rode), known from the comic strips of the Red Knight.
