Due to the construction of the new cycling highway F29, which overlaps part of this walk, we have chosen to partially revise this walk to seek out the quiet walking paths as much as possible.
We also had to revise the starting point.
We start at the Sint-Veronakapel. Further on lies the castle of Leefdaal, also known as 'de Liedekerke': a Renaissance castle, with late medieval remnants. We follow the Voer to the border with Tervuren and rise back towards the plateau between Leefdaal and Duisburg. The panoramic views give us a calm look at the busy world beyond (E40, flight path to Zaventem ...). Via the Brabant clay plateau and the Tersaerthoeve, we slowly return through the open fields to the chapel and the Voer.
