A walk organized by Natuurpunt Halle, where the surroundings are prepared to welcome the pine marten. Windy paths, green valleys, babbling brooks, and secret wilderness, all to admire in a gentle landscape very close to the Brussels Ring. From the church square in Lembeek, with parking around and near the church, we proceed directly into the Lembeek castle park for a nice walk that takes us past the Malakoff Domain with a lookout tower, Maasdal forest, Lembeek forest, a piece of Haller forest, Warande park, and Broek. A picnic is possible after 8 km, at the beginning of the Haller forest. The route can be shortened if you turn left at an intersection after 5.5 km instead of right (the normal route), a loop leading to the Lembeek forest and Haller forest. The route is marked with signs, but sometimes there were doubts at a junction; fortunately, we had the GPS as a backup. For those arriving by train, the station is 200 meters from the church.
